Direct Messages

../images/directmessages.png

To access the Direct Messaging module, you need to click the Messaging main menu icon (1) then the direct message sub menu item (2).

Using multiple accounts

The commenting module by default is a Shared Action. Meaning if you select 10 accounts and create a 10 track commenting action, then each account will be used in sequence. So each of the accounts will comment on one track in turn. There is no option to have all selected accounts all comment on each track.

In addition to usual search options for finding users to DM, two helper searches are available as well:

Follow

../images/follow.png

The follow tab allows you to create follow actions. Follow other users is a great way to increase your own followers as a % of those you follow will check your profile and listen to your tracks and follow you back.

From the screen shot above, there are many default searches you can perform to find users to follow

  • Followers of
  • Followed by / Followings of
  • Users in group
  • Search groups and follow members

Custom Search / Search Builder

../images/custom_search.png

The custom search builder module allows you to build a search where the results of the previous stage will feed back into the search for the next stage. Lets have an example.

../images/custom_search_eg.png

In the above example, we are performing the following search

  1. Scrape followers of
  2. Scrape latest track of each follower
  3. Scrape all interactions of the latest track of each follower
NOTE:
Do be aware that if you are building very complex searches, then this can require lots of requests to the site, which may cause a limiting of the requests you can perform. This likelihood can be increased if you are also performing a filter. There are some ways to try and avoid this, namely setting a random pause after each page of search results are pulled. Also, by providing the specific number of results for each step can help.

Search and Action Modules

Several of the action tabs are of a similar appearance and fundamentally work the same way. These are

  • Like
  • Follow
  • Repost
  • Commenting
  • Playlist creation
  • Account plays

These modules work by you specifying a search that will be used to find some items (either profiles or tracks) that will be actioned upon (followed / liked / reposted etc.)

The search action tabs will all contain the options:

  • Search Input box
  • Custom Search Builder option
  • Random Pause
  • Repeat Hours
  • Number of Repeats
  • Unique / action once
  • Share Across Accounts
  • Max Actions
  • Scheduler (along with daily runner option)

Daily Limits

The daily limits allow you to specify what this account is allowed to process within a 24 hour period. These are account specific limits and will override the Global Daily Limits as set on the global SETTINGS tab.

What Limits should I set?

There is no perfect answer here, it depends. It depends on your goals, it depends on your account, your niche, how annoying your account will be, how spammy it is, how many hashtags you post, how many mentions you make, whether you want to keep your account live for the long haul or whether you want to churn and burn.

Add Account

To add your account, there are two options.

../images/addaccounts.png

Using the Account Details form, or via Importing. If you want to add a single account, or just a few, the Account Details form is the best way.

On clicking the ADD button you will be asked if you want to use the basic or full form to add your account.

../images/addaccount_basic.png

The basic view will just ask you for your Soundcloud login email and your password. Upon clicking SAVE, Soundcloud Manager will attempt to log into Soundcloud using your provided credentials, if all is successful you will return back to the main app and see your account in the accounts list
